Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast Announce Fall Nut Sale Boothing November 6th-November 22nd

Annual Girl Scout Financial Literacy Fundraiser Provides Delicious Nuts and Snacks, Along with Development for Girls and Support for Programs

    VENTURA, CA, November 08, 2009 /Parenting PR News/ -- Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast today announced the kick-off of its annual Nut Sale booth fundraiser in partnership with Ashdon Farms to provide ten varieties of delicious nuts and snacks in resealable cans and decorative tins for $5 each. The Nut Sale is one of two annual fundraising programs led by girls to support Girl Scout troop activities directly, and Council programs overall.

Girl Scout troops will sell nut and chocolate products outside participating retail locations throughout the Council beginning November 6th-November 22nd. Girl Scouts will also be collecting nut sale donations for Operation Gratitude, a 501c(3) non-profit volunteer organization that sends care packages to military troops deployed overseas.

The 2009 assortment includes: Whole Cashews, Butter Toasted Peanuts, Honey Roasted Peanuts, Cranberry Nut Mix, Deluxe Pecan Clusters, Mint Meltaways, Chocolate Covered Raisins, Gummi Berries, and Salsa Snack Mix, along with Caramel/Cranberry Popcorn available in a snowman-themed tin great for holiday hostess, teacher, or neighbor gifting.

A Girl Scout Gold Award collectible tin filled with Chocolate Covered Pretzels is also available exclusively through Girl Scout Council Shops.
