50% Goes To Santa

E-Book of Elf Tricks Benefits the Emmaus House Christmas Program in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA, December 10, 2009 /Parenting PR News/ -- Parents with elves in the house this holiday season will find plenty of ideas in the new e-book, "50 Elf Tricks: The Busy Parent's Shortcut to Christmas Elf Magic." Atlanta ad agency Tribe, Inc., which created and published the e-book, will donate 50% of the purchase price to the Emmaus House Children's Christmas Festival -- where Santa will distribute gifts to over 700 children who might not otherwise have much holiday magic.

"The tricky thing about elves is they try some new prank every night," said Elizabeth Cogswell Baskin, CEO of Tribe and author of the e-book. "Plenty of parents find themselves scratching their heads about 11 PM, trying to figure out what new surprise their kids will discover the next morning."

Each of the 50 tricks also includes a rhyming note for the elf to sign, explaining his or her tricks that range from range from leaving a trail of baby carrots to coax reindeer inside to a special Christmas message written in shaving cream on the bathroom mirror. There are quick and easy tricks for nights when parents are particularly exhausted and more meaningful tricks that encourage the spirit of giving — or even good habits, like teeth brushing. (For those unfamiliar with the magic elf phenomenon, which has grown in popularity over the past several years, these elves visit children during December to share all sorts of mischief, until finally returning to the North Pole with Santa on Christmas Eve.)

"50 Elf Tricks: The Busy Parent's Shortcut to Christmas Elf Magic" can be purchased for $9.95 at www.elfideas.com.
