When Sundae Spa "officially" opened its doors, the dreams became a reality for many. The hot spot for parties and special days was welcomed into the Waterbury community with open arms as throngs of well-wishers lent their support to the new business venture in Waterbury, CT.
Sundae Spa is the brilliant concept of former science teacher Kimberly Swan with the support of her husband Ron and her seven daughters Kalie, Tiffany, Marguerite, Reba, Briana, Shania and Charlie. The family decided to become the sole investors in this amazing venture after a two-year search for outside capital. Along with family members, the Swans personally constructed the spa.
If it sounds like Sundae Spa is strictly for the girls in your life with candy facials, dessert manicures and pedicures, sundae haircuts and wraps, think again. It's for the entire family. Offering boy friendly activities like Escentool Discoveries was essential to complete the offerings of Sundae Spa. Escentool Discoveries is a fun creative way to dig into educational fun while digging for dinosaurs, mining for gemstones, uncovering the earth, searching for creatures and finding lost treasures. Making slime is also a big favorite!
Sundae Spa's website, www.sundaespa.com offers a wide range of lotions and potions including soaps shaped like ice cream pops, a cupcake bouquet of bath cakes that fizz, specialty dessert soaps that look like fudge, pies and candy and even chocolate covered strawberries. The products of course are also available in the Waterbury location. All Sundae Spa products are handmade in the United States. Select products are vegan certified, organic certified and paraben-free with skin-safe colorants and fragrances.
Cutting the ribbon today with the Swan family was their cousin, Connecticut native and Nickelodean star of The Naked Brother Band, Allie DiMeco who flew in for the opening. The Grand Opening celebration included a free make your own lip balm, lots of giveaways and VIP autographed photos with Allie DiMeco. A $25 donation is being made to Connecticut Children's Medical Center for every party booked during the grand opening week.
